BBPR Inc. was launched by Brian Berger in 1998. The company has handled numerous projects for high profile individuals and for corporations.
Brian moved to Portland, Oregon from Los Angeles in May of 1992 to work for the NBA?s Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent six years in the organization's front office. Berger helped coordinate such events as the 1992 NBA Finals featuring the Blazers and the Chicago Bulls; the 1992 NBA Draft - which was held in a city other than New York for the first time and featured Shaquille O'Neal as the top player selected; and the Basketball Tournament of the Americas featuring Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and the rest of Dream Team I.
Later in 1992, the Portland Trail Blazers entered into an agreement with the city of Portland to construct a new 21,000-seat arena for the Blazers to call home. This arena would also serve as the home to many world-class concerts, sporting events and family shows. Brian was instrumental in the construction of this arena and served as the main PR contact during the construction process as well as a key member of the Grand Opening Committee.
Before Brian moved to Portland, he served as the radio voice for the Loyola Marymount University Lions' basketball and baseball teams in Los Angeles from 1988-1992. The basketball team featured the late Hank Gathers and NBA lottery pick Bo Kimble.
Berger was selected to the prestigious "40 Under 40" list by the Portland Business Journal in 2008.
Berger is a Board Member for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
